He is currently head of the Department of Obstetrics.

Prof. Dr. Edward Araujo Júnior
Associate Professor
Graduated in Medicine (2000) from Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM), Master's Degree (2006), Doctorate (2007), Postdoctoral Degree (2008), and Associate Professor (2012) from the Escola Paulista de Medicina of Universidade Federal de São Paulo (EPM/UNIFESP).
He is currently coordinator of the Department's Graduate Program and head of the Discipline of Fetal Medicine. He is also responsible for the Fetal Cardiology Sector of the Fetal Medicine Discipline.
Major line of research: fetal medicine, three-dimensional ultrasound in obstetrics and fetal cardiology.

Prof. Dr. Guilherme Antonio Rago Lobo

Graduated in Medicine (2000), Master's Degree (2007) and Doctorate (2015) from the Escola Paulista de Medicina of Universidade Federal de São Paulo (EPM/UNIFESP).
He is currently Coordinator of the Department's Protocols of Conduct.
Major line of research: high-risk pregnancy, Rh Alloimmunization and screening for chromosomal abnormalities in the first trimester.

Profa. Dra. Liliam Cristine Rolo Paiato

Graduated in Medicine (2002), Master's Degree (2008), Doctorate (2012) from the Escola Paulista de Medicina of Universidade Federal de São Paulo (EPM/UNIFESP). She is currently deputy chief of the Discipline of Fetal Medicine.
Major line of research: three-dimensional ultrasound in obstetrics, fetal medicine and fetal cardiology.

Prof. Me. Jorge Francisco Kuhn dos Santos

Graduated in Medicine (1978) from Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes (UMC) and Master's Degree (1987) from the Escola Paulista de Medicina of Universidade Federal de São Paulo (EPM/UNIFESP).
Major line of research: fetal vitality (antepartum and intrapartum cardiotocography), external cephalic version, humanized birth (humanized, active and scientific evidence-based care for women before, during and after pregnancy), vacuum extraction, intrapartum amnioinfusion, evidence-based medicine.

Prof. Me. Nivaldo Silva Correa Rocha

Major line of research: hypertensive disease specific to pregnancy, ectopic, ultrasound in gynecology and obstetrics and ectopic pregnancy.

Profa. Dra. Roseli Mieko Yamamoto Nomura

Graduated in Medicine (1987), Master's Degree (1995), Doctorate (2000), and Associate Professor from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). She is currently deputy chief of the Discipline of Physiological and Experimental Obstetrics.
Major line of research: childbirth assistance, maternal nutrition, blood disorders during pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy, abortion, research ethics and professional ethics.

Profa. Dra. Silvia Daher

She is currently chief of the Discipline of Physiological and Experimental Obstetrics.
Major line of research: cellular response and immunogenetic factors in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus and Obesity and molecular and cellular aspects of maternal-fetal interaction during implantation and placentation.

Prof. Dr. Julio Elito Júnior

Graduated in Medicine (1989), Master's Degree (1995), Doctorate (1997), and Associate Professor (2010) from the Escola Paulista de Medicina of Universidade Federal de São Paulo. Post-Doctorate (2000) by the Cleveland Clinic.
He is currently Coordinator and Responsible for the SIG (Special Interest Groups) of Pathological Obstetrics at the Rede Universitária de Telemedicina.
Major line of research: ectopic pregnancy, methotrexate, ultrasound, beta-hCG, polymorphisms, serological markers and multiple pregnancy.

Prof. Dr. Nelson Sass

Master's Degree (1988) Doctorate (1995) and Associate Professor (2009) from Escola Paulista de Medicina of Universidade Federal de São Paulo.
He is currently Assistant Dean of Unifesp (2017-2021) and responsible for the Hypertension and Kidney Diseases in Pregnancy Sector.
Major line of research: hypertensive syndromes, kidney disease and kidney transplantation.

Profa. Dra. Rosiane Mattar

Graduated (1976), Master's Degree (1986), Doctorate (1992), and Associate Professor (2004) from the Escola Paulista de Universidade Federal de São Paulo.
He is currently Head of the Discipline of Pathological Obstetrics and Tocosurgery.
Major line of research: pregnancy, diabetes and pregnancy, sexual assault, prematurity, isthmocervical insufficiency, abortion and habitual abortion and maternal mortality.

Profa. Dra. Sue Yazaki Sun

Master's Degree (1990) and Doctorate (2004) from Escola Paulista de Medicina of Universidade Federal de São Paulo. Post-doctorate at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital (2015).
She is currently Deputy Head of the Department of Obstetrics, Deputy Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Obstetrics and Deputy Head of the Discipline of Pathological Obstetrics and Tocosurgery.
Major line of research: gestational trophoblastic neoplasia, gestational trophoblastic disease, placenta previa, placental accretism.
